Orphans of the war waged by the LRA in Democratic Republic of Congo, these kids recieved balls in late 2011 at the African Inland Mission.

2011, Balls Without Borders teamed up with the African Inland Mission in the Central African Republic. These Congolese refugee children are orphans of war and violence caused by the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA). They have no running water, electricity, or emergency education system in place; however they have a makeshift soccer field to keep the youth active during the construction process
